Transform with Us

The life of faith leads to personal transformation. This looks different for everyone. For some, the process may be dramatic and quick, others will experience a more gradual change. The common element is a will to love like Jesus. Here are some ideas for transformative work. You don't have to do everything at once. Find something that appeals to you and start there.

Get Engaged in a Church Ministry

Maybe it's the worship team, the monthly blood drive, the kitchen crew, student ministries or a committee. The church is meant to be the expression of God's love to the world. We need your help to become as effective, relevant and beneficial to the community as possible.

Volunteer in the Community

There are numerous organizations in the area that need your help.  Food pantries, women's shelters, adoption agencies, humane societies, the Red Cross and Goodwill. Click below for a list of local agencies.

Practice the Art of Giving

Giving is an essential element of the Christian faith. It is a sacrificial act that connects us with Christ. People often associate giving with money. That is a wonderful way to give, but there are many others - including giving of your time, your abilities and your resources.

Find & Be a Mentor

Everyone needs someone to speak truth, wisdom and goodness into their life. Find a mentor(s) who can help you grow in faith, integrity and acts of kindness. Likewise, everyone has experience and truth to share. Identify others who can help you and whom you can help along the journey.

Seek Counsel & Support

We are all broken in one way or another. Many of us struggle with past trauma, addictions or emotional struggles. Professional and pastoral counseling along with support groups are vital tools for healing as we step out into the hope of Christ to be agents of healing, grace and redemption, ourselves.

Get Back to Nature

God made humanity to preserve and superintend over the earth. Whether you are gardening, working with a conservation group or maybe you just want to try recycling, spending time dwelling in and caring for the natural world teaches us to value and honor God's creation.
